Some Photos of the Cemetery

As has frequently been noted by visitors, Stranger Creek has one of the finest small town cemeteries in Kansas. Having fine marble and limestone quarries nearby is helpful, but moreso the town’s firm conviction that when constructing a monument to one’s loved ones, nothing is too lavish, or excessive.

In peaceful repose, they wait for the day when all will rise

Sure of favorable judgement, one of the town’s fathers casts a resolute gaze toward the East.

As the body returns to the elements, the almost tangible spirit begins his ascent to the stars.

The local Mithraeum allows cemetry visitors to offer prayers and simple worship to the ancient gods.


A hand that once pointed upward, now just points away.
